Villeroy Boch - Marchesi
The idea for the Marchesi Flatware" came from the top-class Italian chef, Gualtiero Marchesi. Marchesi is classed by Gault Millau as one of world's top 15 chefs, and was also the first non-French chef to be awarded Michelin's coveted three stars. The design for the cutlery series was created by Cologne's renowned and multi-award-winning designer Michael Schneider. What has resulted is an absolute professional cutlery series with an extremely striking and modern design, which makes it possible to act confidently among the highest circles of culinary experts. Pattern and embossments have been dispensed with so as to emphasise the cutlery's "tool-like" character. All of the pieces display delicate, slim proportions and precise, angular shapes, which are extremely difficult to manufacture. Additional emphasis is given to the striking, slanting areas by the highly-polished surfaces.
